girls weekend.

Two weekends ago my mom came to Utah for a visit, and we decided to make it a girls weekend. We love our boys, but there is something about getting away with just the females that makes for a great time. Mom got us a room in Park City, and her, Lisa, me, and baby jack all headed out. Jack got to join the girls because he's still nursing. He had three mothers that weekend and was really an angel baby.

We spent the weekend talking, laughing, eating, shopping, and drinking diet coke at every turn.

We got back from a full day out around 8:30 so Jack could turn in. He slept the best night of his life in that Marriott crib. I was ready to steal it and bring it home. My mom got in the mood for chocolate molten lava cake, so we had two sent up as room service. I think it was my first room service experience ever. That morning, while we were waiting for Jack to sleep in (what? yes!), they both did my hair, which I almost never let them do. Girls weekend, indeed.

I'm grateful that I have these examples of strong women in my life. We don't live as close to one another as we'd like to, but at least that means we can take a weekend once a year and have an extravaganza.

  1. 1. That last picture is my favorite. Jack looks so grown up and adorable!
    2. The family resemblance amongst you three women is undeniable.
    3. That sounds like the most fun weekend ever!
