I now understand why every package in all the world has the phrase "Keep out of reach of children."
I used to wonder why, on things like vacuum bags, it would say this. Kids don't use vacuums! But now I know. If something is in Jack's reach, he will grab it. And then he will always always shove that thing, whatever its shape or use, in his mouth. So now when I'm holding him near the kitchen counter, and two seconds later he has the plastic bag that holds the bread almost in his mouth, I think "wow, I should really keep that out of his reach."
I will now heed those warnings.
He also does the following with his new dexterity:
Pulls his paci out of his mouth to cry
Puts his paci back in his mouth to stop
Knocks food out of mom's hands when she's about to bite into it (Mickey reaps the rewards of this one)
Grabs and pulls up his shirt
Pulls my hair
Grabs on to mom's shirt when she's trying to put him down
Throws the toys from his highchair table onto the floor
Repeats the toys onto floor thing until mom just puts him on the floor.
Knocks books or phone out of mom's hand when nursing
Motherhood is pure joy and glamour.
You are an amazing mom :) Hope you really know that!!!
