hee haw farms.

My blogging history this summer has not been great. Thinking about catching up on all the posts I've missed is overwhelming and is keeping me from writing, so to sum it up: summer was eventful.

Now that I've given an accurate summary of summer, I'll just skip ahead to now.

This last Saturday, we kept up with our yearly tradition of going to HeeHaw Farms in Pleasant Grove with the Lyon family. We went when it first opened, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We started off with some farm animal fun, where we pet goats, chickens, sheep. Poor Nicholas kept getting scared by the goats' faces that kept appearing in front of him whenever he would turn around. Our trip also included a hay ride, which usually takes you to a pumpkin patch but due to "water shortages" (says our hay ride driver), there was no pumpkin patch this year. We weren't too disappointed since we have pumpkins growing in our garden this year, but still.

We tried to get a cousins picture, but with three kids ages 3 and below, it was an impossible feat. They still turned out pretty cute, I must say. Jack really does love his cousins. He can never be in a bad mood with them around to entertain him. Andrew gets really cute with him and hugs him and tells him that he loves him. Nicholas likes to give him stuff, then take it away, and they mostly end up staring at each other.

Horray for fall festivities!
