Hi, 2014.
2013 wrapped up with high intensity. Me, Matty, Mickey, and
Jackie were all sitting on our bed with the lights dimmed listening to the
fireworks go off outside. It was a quiet celebration. We chatted a bit about
what our favorite day of the year was and what our resolutions will be. Mine,
among others, is to blog more. Having a baby boy means I need more frequent
documentation because he changes every day it seems. So now is a perfect time
for a fresh start and a new link. This is my 12th day of motherhood,
and I’m still trying to figure out where I will ever have the time to do things
like shower, let alone blog, but for now, I’m saying this goal is happening.
Some of 2013’s highlights:
A new nephew, Nicholas (Gikky Boy), was born (March)
We found out I was pregnant. (April)
Matty walked in his college graduation ceremony. (April)
We bought our cozy little home in Lehi. (May)
We went on a trip to Bryce Canyon National Park. (May)
We grew our very first and very own garden. (May through
October)
A new nephew, Cooper, was born. (June)
We went on a trip to Minnesota to watch four Twins baseball
games. (June)
We brought a new border collie puppy, Mickey, home to join
our family. (July)
Hosted my whole family at our new house for the fourth of
July. (July)
We found out our baby was a little boy, and promptly chose
the name Jack. (July)
I got called as YW second counselor. (August)
We celebrated our one-year anniversary in Park City.
(October)
My mom flew down to Utah to surprise me for my baby shower.
(November)
Baby boy Jack finally came to meet us. (December)
It was a big year, and I’m grateful for all of it.
That sounds like such a wonderful year. I can only imagine how much more amazing it will get now that Jack is here for 2014. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYay! Nice blog. I guess you're officially no longer Lindsay B.
ReplyDeleteOkay okay okay, enough chit chat. WHERE ARE THE PICTURES OF JACK? WHERE ARE THE SQUISHY CHEEKS?? I actually had a dream that I saw you on your maternity leave, and you were so chill, looking how you usually look (put together, hair done, perfect), and saying how easy motherhood was. Looks like that is true (minus the showering, but that's overrated anyway)!
