When I'm nursing (the thousands of times a day that it happens), I lay my Kindle right above Jack on the pillow and read. Ebook readers were made for nursing moms. I tried using print books, but turns out it's entirely necessary to use two hands to turn a page. The few times I tried it, I ended up with a book tumbled on the floor, a feeding halted, a crying boy, and me frustrated that my page was lost. Monstrosity. The Kindle is also an angelic addition during those nightly feedings, when turning on the light would be painful for all those involved. When I'm near the end of the book, and therefore am very eager to find out the ending, I tend to feed the babe a bit earlier and more often than he may need it. He doesn't complain. Jack is already adept to maneuvering the Kindle. He tends to flail his arms about and turns the book pages with a tap of his wayward hand. As much as it sounds like it, I'm not selling Kindles; I'm just kind of hooked on mine right now.
It's really nice to have time dedicated each day to reading--something I would have a hard time squeezing in otherwise in a day that seems fit to burst.
That is BRILLIANT! Would that I had an ereader when I was nursing. Josh got me a Nook for Christmas so I'm going to find times that I can squeeze in a few pages in those days that are what you so accurately call fit to burst. :)
