going for a swim.

The Hayes family took a trip to downtown Lehi (ha!). We started out at the library, where I scored big with a few books I've been wanting to read. I love those kind of library trips where every book you are looking for just happens to be there (why does no one else want this book?!). Then, we journeyed to the Lehi Legacy center right next door. Jack was dressed up in his rash guard and swim diaper and took his first swim in the water. They have these baby bouncers that Matt and I have been eyeing since last summer ("let's bring baby Hayes here next year!"). Jack loved them. We went during his normal fussy hours (between 5 and 7), but instead of fussies, we got excitement. He rocked back and forth in the swing and propelled himself forward when his feet would touch the bottom of the mini pool. I'm amazed at how old he's getting. Matt wore his swim suit so they both swam around together in the lazy river they have. They would come around the corners and wave to me.

I really want to live in the water this summer. Jack agrees.
